Alpha & Omega
Arius of Alexandria was a priest in Egypt in the 4th Century AD. He challenged the wording of the Trinity; The Apostle’s Creed begins with “I Believe” while the Nicene Creed uses “We Believe”. It went against Orthodoxy and was considered heresy.
The nature between father and son was in question. Arius of Alexandria was accused of being too “Greek” or “Jewish” in his thoughts by openly denying the divinity of the son, but the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet are “Alpha” and “Omega.”
