AVATAR means “descent” and is a concept in Hinduism that means the material appearance or incarnation of a deity on Earth. Other religions have some doctrine of savior incarnation. Avatars are said to restore cosmic order out of chaos. That formless eternal god is within the human heart and man is his own savior.

We have used avatars to experience alternate versions of ourselves via the Internet. Social media avatars like our username or profile pic. Video Gaming and (AI) artificial intelligence avatars like the voices of Siri and Alexa. The future of avatar tech is bringing physicality to avatars thru (VR) virtual reality and robotics.
